1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Gun Simulator mobile game (the "App"), package name com.itsjd.gunsimulation.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information You Do Not Provide
The App does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, photos, or contacts.
2.2 Information Stored on Your Device
- Selected gun preference (stored locally with device settings)
This stays on your device. We do not upload it to our servers.
2.3 Advertising Data (Google AdMob)
The App shows banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect:
- Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID)
- Device information (model, OS version, language)
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
- Consent choices from the in-app consent form (UMP) in applicable regions
We do not store advertising identifiers on our own servers. AdMob’s practices are described in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Advertising policies.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- Run the game (remember which gun you selected)
- Show ads so the App can stay free
- Honor your ad-consent choices where required by law
We do not use your data to build a personal profile on our own servers. We do not sell personal information.
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
4.1 Local Storage
Game preferences are stored on your device (PlayerPrefs / app storage).
4.2 No Developer Cloud Storage
We do not operate a backend that stores your gameplay or personal data.
4.3 Third-Party Processing
Google processes ad-related data on its servers when ads are requested. That processing is controlled by Google.
5. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information
- Share gameplay settings with other companies
5.1 Google AdMob
- Ads are served by Google AdMob
- In the EEA, UK, and similar regions, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect consent before personalized ads
- If you decline personalized ads, you may still see non-personalized ads
- You can also limit ads in Android settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary by device)
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process. In practice we hold almost no user data ourselves.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended for adults (17+) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that provided personal data to us, contact us through Google Play support and we will delete what we can. Ad consent is tagged as not under the age of consent.
7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
- Uninstall the App to remove local settings
- Reset advertising ID in Android settings
- Opt out of personalized ads in Android / Google settings
- Change or withdraw ad consent where the UMP form is shown (or by clearing app data and launching again)
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also have rights of access, deletion, restriction, and objection regarding data processed by Google for ads. Exercise those with Google where Google is the processor/controller of ad data.
8. DATA RETENTION
Local settings remain until you clear app data or uninstall. Ad data retention is governed by Google.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Ad requests may be processed by Google on servers outside your country. Using the App means those transfers may occur as part of showing ads.
10. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising on our own behalf. Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers for personalized ads subject to your device and consent settings. You can opt out of personalized ads as described in Section 7.
11. EUROPEAN PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK:
- Legal basis for ads: consent (personalized ads) or legitimate interest / consent as configured in the UMP form (non-personalized ads may still be shown where allowed)
- Legal basis for local game settings: legitimate interest in providing the App
You can withdraw consent via the in-app consent flow / by clearing app data. For AdMob-held data, use Google’s tools and policies.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
